What LectureLoop Does
LectureLoop is a Chrome extension that generates structured study packs — summaries, timestamped contents, flashcards, and quizzes — from YouTube videos. This policy explains what data we collect and how we use it.
Information We Collect
When you sign in with Google, we receive and store:
- Your email address and Google account ID, used for account identification and usage tracking
- Your monthly usage count and subscription tier, stored in our database to enforce plan limits
When you generate a study pack, we send the YouTube video ID to our backend server. We do not send full URLs, browsing history, or any other page content.
Local Storage
Generated study packs are cached locally in your browser using Chrome's built-in storage API (chrome.storage). This data never leaves your device unless you explicitly choose to export it. Your preferences (such as display settings) are also stored locally.
What We Do Not Collect
- Browsing history or website content
- User activity or behavior tracking
- Cookies or third-party analytics
Data Sharing
We do not sell, share, or transfer user data to third parties. Your data is used solely to provide LectureLoop's functionality.
Data Retention & Deletion
You can sign out at any time from the extension's settings page, which removes your cached authentication token from the browser. To request complete deletion of your account data from our servers, contact us at support@lectureloop.app.
